Service 72 80 & 89 - Northallerton to Stokesley - 20th and 21st December 2025

Brompton - Richmond Road CLOSED 

 

Location:  Northallerton Road, Northallerton , Brompton, 

Description of works:  Carriageway repair works. Closure between the hours 08:00-16:00. Access for residents will be maintained however due to the nature of the works delays may occur. Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained.  

The Restriction will be in place for a period of 2 days between the hours 08:00-16:00 on 8th December 2025 to 9th December 2025

Passengers please use Temporary Bus Stops near Brompton Crossroads

Unfortunately we will not be able to serve any bus stop along Northallerton Road during this closure

Service 70 - Ripon to Northallerton

Service 72 - Darlington to Northallerton

EMERGENCY TIMETABLE - Valid 20th December 2025 until 4th January 2026

DUE TO ROAD CLOSURE AT A167 Northallerton Road for demolition of Railway Bridge at Croft

Unfortunately there will be NO SERVICE to Hurworth on Tees, Croft, Dalton on Tees, Straggleton Gates during this closure

X72 will operate NON STOP between Northallerton and Darlington

Service 79 - Barnard Castle to Richmond - 9th and 10th December 2025

Gayles Bank CLOSED 

Service 79 will be unable to serve  Dalton, Gayles & Kirby Hill during this closure

Service will divert from Newsham via a66 to Ravensworth and turn around in the village in both directions

 

Service 80 & 89 - Northallerton to Stokesley - 20th and 21st December 2025

Osmotherley - West End CLOSED 

We have been advised by North Yorkshire Council that Service 80/89 will be able to serve West End Bus Stop Osmotherley during this closure 

 

 

Service 70 - Northallerton to Ripon - 12th January 2026 till 6th February

Dishforth Road CLOSED by Yorkshire Water

Service will divert via A1 and A61 between ripon and Dishforth

No service to Sharow during this closure

Delays expected

 

 

 

Service 29 - Darlington to Richmond - 5th January 2026 for 3 weeks approximately

Blackwell CLOSED between Bridge Road and Carmel Road South

Service will divert via Reg Vardy/Blackwell roundabout

Service 72,80,89 8th December 2025 to 9th December 2025 08:00-16:00	Carriageway repair works Northallerton Road, Brompton Services will divert				Christmas Town 2nd December 2025 thru 9th December 2025 Service 104	Bishop Auckland Christmas Town This is a one directional closure Bishop Auckland inbound only. The North side of the Market Place will remain open throughout. All inbound services to divert via Kingsway.
20th December 2025 to 4th January 2026 Service 72   Northallerton Road Croft on Tees	Road closure for Network Rail to demolish and reconstruct railway bridge. Please note closures will only be in place overnight (22:00-08:00) on weekends between 8th Nov 2025 to 8th February 2026 Road Closed A FULL 24hr closure will be in place from 20th December 2025 to 4th January 2026 Please see emergency timetable in use during closure period
